This is an awesome place to see a show!!! That hill is killer, though...I managed to do a log roll down it near the end of the show. I wasn't laughing at the time, but it is quite funny now. Opening band was Indigenous (a Minnesota band!).

Counting Crows, Live, and Galactic

Live was very good, but I was totally not impressed with Counting Crows...they only played for 45 minutes!!! Plus, the World is a terrible place to see a show...they won't even let you tailgate! We got busted for having a grill going in the parking lot before the show.

Taste of Ottawa - Ottawa Riverfest

This was another one of those local summer festivals. I lived in Ottawa for 7 years but had never been to Riverfest or the Taste. Great show! All I know is that Bryon suggested that we go to this show, and that they were famous for "Vehicle". I had no clue what he was talking about, but was game. I was thrilled when they started playing .38 Special and Survivor songs! This was the soundtrack of the 80's that I knew...and I had no clue that Jim Peterik had written all of those songs.

I love watching these guys! As always, they came out to meet the fans after the show. Rudy was nice enough to sign a stack of pictures that I had taken at the last show. Opening bands were Elbow and Flathead Fillups.

Awesome! There was a torrential rainfall right before the show. We were on the lawn, and getting beer was quite challenging with a hill full of mud. But, it added to the ambiance.
This was my first DMB show! I had met Bryon in the fall of 1999, and had no clue what to get him for Christmas. My solution was to give him a coupon good for a weekend of his choice. He picked a DMB show. By the second song, I told him that this stuff "made my ears happy". The rest is history :)

This was an awesome show (once we got past the excruciatingly bad performance by the opening farce, I Love Rich)! I was lucky enough to meet Brad Gillis and Kelly Keagy after the show! These guys are so cool...and they really rock! Brad was hanging out in the bar just chatting with people.

Opening Band: Rubygrass
