Jimmy Buffett - East Troy, WI

06/28/2003
Jimmy Buffett
Alpine Valley

We had a blast at the Buffett show, but it was a bit rough on the old bodies! I slipped and fell into a weird contortion and sprained my knee. Bryon looks like he was in a motorcycle accident with the road rash from crashing over some bushes. My sis, Jen, came down for the show, and I'm sure we were quite the entertainment. We had an awesome time!!

Rick Springfield - Chicago, IL

06/14/2003
Rick Springfield
Navy Pier
Chicago, IL
10:00 show

I know that I keep saying this...but this show had to be the best one yet! I was already on cloud 9 from meeting Rick after the 7:00 show. During the 10:00 show, we were in Row G in the center. Rick made his way out into the audience as usual, but I have never been lucky enough to be in that general vicinity. Well...all that changed!!! He wound up making his way over right towards us...and spent an entire song standing right over me. He had one foot on the seat backs from row in front of us, the other foot on our row...and rocked on out...I was sure that either Bryon or me would get clubbed in the head with the guitar!!! Don't ask me what song he was singing because I was totally mesmerized!!! He came back our way a couple of times more...all in all, a TOTALLY AWESOME experience!!! Bryon (my sweetie who definitely deserves a badge of honor) has been to 8 Rick shows with me now and said that that was definitely the best one yet!!!

7:00 show

The show was pretty good...but the kicker was afterwards. I had a backstage pass...

since I had purchased a Rick guitar (the "silver sparkle"...signed, to Cindy, with love). The silver sparkle came complete with a ticket and backstage pass.

It was great meeting with Rick...he signed my "Rock of Life" CD, as he and Bucky bantered about everyone saying they couldn't find it on CD, but they had seen so many). Rick put his arms around me for a pic. Bucky wasn't sure if the camera was working right or not...flashbacks to the birthday bash in Vegas when that was the ONLY pic that didn't turn out... so I asked if it was okay to try another one. Rick's arms were around me once again, and we tried another pic. I gathered up my stuff and thanked them, and Rick said..."Bye Sweetie!". AWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! I gave him a little wave and said, "See ya' later...thank you!!"

Rick Springfield - Milwaukee, WI

05/22/2003
Rick Springfield
Potowotomi Bingo Casino

Rick put on a great show, as he always does. However, Sabrina and I were in the balcony, so we were a bit left out of the action, since Rick spent a great deal of time out of view out in the audience on the main floor. The venue was a great place to see a show, though.

Buddy Guy - Joliet, IL

03/08/2003
Buddy Guy

I have gained much appreciation for the blues. Buddy put on a great show that was filled with funk and soul. And, the Rialto is a great place for a show!!!

Bon Jovi - Chicago, IL

03/01/2003
Bon Jovi
United Center

Opening Band: Goo Goo Dolls

Guess what?!? It was Mr. Bon Jovi's birthday (do I have a knack for seeing bands play when it's somebody's birthday, or what?!!?) An awesome show as always. Heather Locklear was in the audience, and created quite a stir when she made her entrance. The guys wheeled out a birthday cake with a Marilyn Monroe look-alike for the encore.
